Introduction

ISL offer a wide variety of Acoustic Enclosures from close-fit right through to large walk-in enclosures. We have a variety of standard designs and construction methods and our design team is always producing new and innovative designs to facilitate our clients varied needs. Our enclosures are used in a diverse array of industries including HVAC, water and waste treatment, chemical industries, process engineering, off-shore, commercial and general manufacture. ISL works with architects, consultants, contractors, OEM’s and end users.

 

Construction

ISL design and manufacture many types of enclosure, the type of design depends up a variety of factors including acoustic performance, size, access, structural reasons and may other factors.

Although there are an infinite number of designs the main three standard designs are; frameless, panel to panel construction, panels are mainly bolted or clipped together. This design is mainly used for close fit and smaller enclosures. Extruded aluminium frame with panels retained with quick release fasteners for easy fitting and removal. This design is mainly used for medium to large enclosures. Steel box section frame with panels bolted or fitted with quick release fasteners. This design is used for medium to large walk-in type enclosures and offers a rigid structure.

There are two main standard panel constructions. Mineral wool lined with woven glass tissue or melinex with an outer skin of pre-galvanised mild steel or stainless steel and an inner skin of pre-galvanised mild steel or stainless steel perforated sheet.

Acoustic Performance

All enclosure designs are primary designed to reduce the noise down to the required level. The different levels of transmission loss required will determine the type and thickness of panels/materials used, always with cost in mind. Full noise figures are available upon request.

 

Options

There are a variety of options available the most common ones are listed below:

• Doors – Single or double leaf and sliding doors
• Access panels – Lift-off or hinged access panels
• Ventilation – Natural and force ventilation
• Finish – Self, Powder coated or wet sprayed to standard RAL/BS no.
• Windows – Viewing windows in Polycarbonate or glass are available.
• Demountable – Fully demountable for ‘Flat pack supply’

 

Installation

ISL have onshore and offshore trained site installers, all hold CSCS cards.
