Weather Louvres
Introduction
ISL have developed a range of weather louvres which are compact, aesthetically pleasing and offer all round weather protection. We have standard designs and construction methods but, in addition to this our design team are always coming up with bespoke designs to facilitate our clients varied needs. Our weather louvres are used in a diverse array of industries including HVAC, water & waste treatment, chemical industries, process engineering, off-shore, commercial and general manufacture. ISL works with architects, consultants, contractors, OEM’s & end users.
Construction
ISL design and manufacture many types of weather louvres, the type of design depends up on a variety of factors including environment, size, access, pressure drop and many other factors.
Extruded aluminium or light gauge pre-galvanised casings and blades which are generally a riveted or welded construction are used mainly for HVAC/ductwork industries.
Heavy gauge casings and blades, which are generally a welded construction, are used for more Industrial requirements.
The blades are shaped for rain ingress protection, improve airflow and reduced pressure drops.
All weather louvres are available in pre-galvanised mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and polypropylene.
Options
There are a variety of options available the most common ones are listed below.
Standard Depths – 50mm, 75mm & 100mm
Non Standard depths - can also be accommodated
Flanges– RSA, folded, etc
Finish – Self, powder coated or wet sprayed to standard RAL/BS no.
Modular – For large weather louvres they can be supplied in suitably sized modules.
Mesh – Bird mesh or insect mesh
