Introduction

To complement our acoustic enclosures ISL offer a wide variety of Weather Enclosures from close-fit right through to large walk-in enclosures. We have a variety of standard designs and construction methods and our design team is always producing new and innovative designs to facilitate our clients varied needs. Our enclosures are used in a diverse array of industries including HVAC, water and waste treatment, chemical industries, process engineering, commercial and general manufacture. ISL works with architects, consultants, contractors, OEM’s and end users.

 

Construction

ISL design and manufacture many types of enclosure, the type of design depends up a variety of factors including, size, access, structural reasons and may other factors.

Although there are an infinite number of designs the main three standard designs are; frameless, panel to panel construction, panels are screwed or clipped together. This design is mainly used for close fit and smaller enclosures. Extruded aluminium frame with panels fitted generally with quick release fasteners for easy access. This design is mainly used for medium to large enclosures. Steel box section frame with panels bolted or fitted with quick release fasteners. This design is used for medium to large walk-in type enclosures and offers a rigid structure.

All steel enclosures are lined internally with anti-condensation foam.

 

Options

There are a variety of options available the most common ones are listed below.

• Doors – Single or double leaf and sliding doors
• Access panels – Lift-off or hinged access panels
• Ventilation – Natural and force ventilation
• Finish – Powder coated or wet sprayed to standard RAL/BS no.
• Windows – Viewing windows in Polycarbonate or glass are available.
• Demountable – Fully demountable for ‘Flat pack supply’

 

Installation

ISL have trained site installers, all hold CSCS cards.

GRP Weather Enclosures

In addition to steel enclosures ISL supply GRP composite weather enclosures, GRP/Ply/GRP construction, these can be small drop-over enclosure up to large walk-in modular enclosures.
